Jensen Gedächtnisvorlesung - The End of Anthropology?

Religionswissenschaft und Ethnologie / Völkerkunde schauen zwar nicht auf eine deckungsgleiche gemeinsame Wissenschaftsgeschichte zurück, jedoch sind einige Klassiker der Religionswissenschaft auch Klassiker der Ethnologie. Eine zweite Schnittstelle ist in der Teildisziplin “Religionsethnologie” zu sehen.
Aus diesem Grund verweise ich auch hin und wieder auf Veranstaltungen der Ethnologie, wie z.B. auf die Jensen Gedächtnisvorlesung mit dem Oberthema “The End of Anthropology?“. Die Ringvorlesung am Frobenius-Institut an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt/Main begann bereits am 14. April. Fortgesetzt wird sie am 19. Mai 2008 mit den folgenden Themen:
